Interview with Hillsong Staff

September 26th, 2007 | 8 Comments | Church Issues, General Topics, Media Interview with Hillsong Staff |  Facebook

This ten minute audio clip is taken from the September 24, 2007 Way of the Master Radio show. In it Todd Friel interviews some of the staff from Hillsong who were filming a promotional video for a conference called ‘Hillsong Europe.’ This “theological dogs breakfast” goes to show that even their staff aren’t able to give a reason to anyone who asks about the hope that is within.

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
(Ezekiel 34:2-3)

“He just parrots what’s been said from the pulpit. The sad thing is that I think 99% of pentecostals are just like that.”

That’s so true, it’s so much better just sticking to stereotyping all pentecostals into saying that saying they follow their pastors or speakers, excluding 1%.

  3. There are pentecostal contributors to this website.

  5. Hey Daniel,

There are a few articles about Hillsong here. I hope these are helpful.

    Hey Daniel,

Once you’ve read the articles supplied above, also read the articles on the other side of the pendulum. Check some out here:  /
I hope you find your way through all of this, to Christ.

  7. That’s good, Daniel Burke. But just remember that if your defense of a particular group is the same defense as the Latter Day Saints would use to support the genuineness of their cult, it’s probably not the most reliable ground to stand upon. But yes, they have done good things for people. Oprah too.
